Natural Granite Switch Plates are custom-made using the clients own
material for an exact match, or they can be made from our stone. The plate is cut and then ground very thin. A bullnose
edge is applied. Finally, we put on a protective heavy duty
coating to prevent breakage. All plates are oversized to allow
for larger cut-outs made in stone. All plates include
coordinating plug covers. As plug covers cannot
be made from real stone, these covers are peel and stick to
cover the actual receptacle or Decora® switch. The only thing you
will see is granite, not an unsightly plastic outlet.

Using Your Material
In order for us to produce plates with customer supplied
material, we need at least 25% more material than the total
measurement of the plates. There is a substantial amount of
breakage during the delicate manufacturing process. You may
either cut blanks to the sizes below, or send in a large enough
slab and we will cut it for you.

Special Grain or Pattern Requests
If you want the grain or pattern in a specific direction or from
a specific portion of the slab, mark the slab accordingly. If
multiple grain patterns exist in a backsplash, and you want an
exact match, you will need to cut blanks and indicate the cut
out on each plate.
Using Our Material
We prefer to use your material for a more exact match. If you
would like to use our materials, we cannot guarantee an exact
color match. Plates are not refundable for color variation.
Plug Covers
Plug covers are included with the plates. Unfortunately, we can
not make real stone plug covers, so you will need to choose a
simulated
color (see Color Samples). Standard and non-standard
colors are
available for plug covers with no setup charge. We are happy to assist
you in selecting a color to match your stone as closely as
possible. On Decora® plates, you must specify whether it is a
switch, plug or GFI (Ground Fault Interrupter).
If one of our colors does not match to your liking, we can do
a custom color insert to coordinate with your slab. Colors that
we have not made before will incur a $75 setup charge. We need a
piece of material at least 8” x 10” in size to keep on file. We
then send you a swatch for approval before your plates and
inserts are made.
